The ultimate human right is the right to life itself. However, that basic, fundamental right is
denied to Palestinians with the full support of the “Collective West” that, up until the Israeli
assault on Gaza, pretended to be the champions of human rights. But that commitment to liberal,
bourgeois rights was always conditional. It took the savage barbarism of Gaza and the silence on
the attacks on Palestinian human rights by the Israeli apartheid state in the occupied West Bank
to strip away all pretenses of any commitment to human rights on the part of the colonial, White
supremacist collective West.

“…if human rights are to have any credibility, any “universal” applicability, any value, they
must be seized from the barbaric grip of Europe and de-colonized.”

“…the U.S. cannot be seen as a trusted partner or leader in pursuing global stability and peace.
Indeed, the cognitive dissonance and moral infirmity associated with the U.S. colonial,
imperialist mindset, driven by the sickness of white “supremacy” ideology, is now irrefutably
elucidated. As Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) founder and Coordinating Committee
member Ajamu Baraka noted,
“The Russians and Chinese must learn the lesson that the
peoples and nations of the global South learned decades ago, and that is that the U.S. is a lunatic
state that can not be reasoned with.” He continued, “The Russians should have learned this with
Ukraine. But if the Chinese believe that they can keep their heads down and allow the U.S. to
destroy peoples and nations, it is only a matter of time before the barbarians will be at their
gates.”

Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch concluded that Israel is engaged in an active
genocide with torture, sexual assaults on Palestinian prisoners, starvation as weapon of war,
deliberate blockage of medicines, destruction of hospitals, food storage facilities, and schools.

“The bifurcation of human beings into those with rights and those without is and has always
been a racialized distinction. How else can one explain how a Benjamin Netanyahu, an indicted
criminal whose hands drip with the blood of Palestinians can be honored by the U.S. Congress
and lionized in the West, but advocates for the humanity, dignity and human rights of
Palestinians are attacked, criminalized or simply ignored?”
